AMAC participates in local & national events to become active members in our community. Recently Adirondack Martial Arts Center along with United Professionals donated $15,000 to the RED CROSS for direct hurricane relief. In addition, AMAC participates in holiday food drives, community festivals and national fundraisers to promote the tenets of Tae Kwon Do, which include courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit.

Board Breaking Championship and Fundraisers

AMAC has an annual board breaking championship every year. The championship is also a fundraiser for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Participants have a chance to test their board or brick breaking skills while helping children with cancer and other childhood diseases. Over the past few years AMAC has raised over $5000 for the children of St. Jude.

Holiday Food Drive

During the holiday season AMAC conducts a Holiday Food Drive for our food pantry. All non-perishable food items are collected at our facility and donated to the community's food pantry for local families.

Adirondack Martial Arts Center's Social Events

AMAC has various social events for our students to get together outside of the do-jang (tae kwon do school). They include our family appreciation picnic, fall hiking trips, haunted hayrides, holiday parties and other social events for students, family members and friends.

AMAC's Holiday Toy's for Tots Demonstration

2002 was the first year that AMAC teamed up with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve to collect new toys for Toy's for Tots. Since then Adirondack Martial Arts Center's Demonstration Team and Team TKD has performed a non-violent Holiday Theme Tae Kwon Do demonstration while collecting over three hundred new toys each year. The entire community is invited to enjoy the demonstration while supporting the U.S. Marine Corps and Toy's for Tots.
